2003 January Pictures

January 09, 2003. Mary stopped in Las Vegas for a visit. Linda made her a hair appointment, so she would have to come back in a few days.

January 10, 2003. I had to make a one-day business trip to Park City, Utah, so I was able to have lunch with Carter, Andrew, and Heather at a restaurant near the airport.

January 11, 2003. I was Cubmaster for Pack 425, so Kristin and I went on an exploratorily hike to find a place that we could take the Cub Scouts for an outdoor activity. The Railroad Tunnel Trail at Lake Mead turned out to be an ideal place for a February hike. (See August 16, 2019, RonieAdventure Blog #0373 for more information and pictures concerning the Railroad Tunnel Trail Hike.)

January 13, 2003. Mary was back in Las Vegas for a hair appointment.

January 16, 2003. Arranged for a Cub Scout field trip to Yucca Mountain Science Center where we learned about geology in the area and how to make a volcano using household items.

January 18-19, 2003. Made a trip to Phoenix to see family and friends. While we were  there, Kristin, Darcy, and I hiked up Camelback Mountain.

January 25, 2003. Linda, Kristin, and I hiked up to the abandoned Anniversary Mine and then continued the hike up through Anniversary Narrows. (See January 10, 2014, Blog  #0082 for more information on Anniversary Mine and Anniversary Narrows.)

January 29, 2003. At our monthly Cub Scout Pack Meeting we celebrated Chinese New Year and then worked on the Music Activity Badge.
